![]() ![]() Pastor Gummadi Ebenezer & Gospel Outreach Ministries
I finished my Bible training in Hyderabad. We are doing ministry in costal area. For three years, people did not believe me because I was such wicked man before I knew the Lord. When GOD started to move in my life healings happened when we prayed in the name of Jesus. Several thousands of people were delivered from evil spirits. People were healed and saved in different villages at all of our conventions. When I was dedicated my life to Jesus, He blessed this ministry by giving us people from 29 different castes and religions.
Gospel Outreach Ministries is one of the fastest rising Christian organizations, which is mainly working in south India, in Andhra Pradesh state. We have a burning desire and great burden towards non-Christian people, who are 97.93% of India and never heard the word of GOD. As GOD commissioned, I started to preach in Andhra Pradesh, which is 5th largest state in India. The population of A.P. is 80,355,000 area of the state 2,75,000 sq.km. It has several languages. There are hundreds of castes; each caste has their own gods or goddesses. There are many unreached peoples that must be reached - tribal people, Muslim people, people from every caste. Andhra Pradesh state has several thousand villages. Most of the population is residing in villages, depending upon seasonal works and also there are agricultural laborers and uneducated people who totally depend upon their old and traditional beliefs. After traveling to many villages, I have decided to work in rural areas where there are neither Pastors nor churches. Our aim is to take good news of the Lord Jesus Christ to the villages where it had not been spread previously. We take the gospel to villages that have been totally neglected by both national and international ministries because of lack of proper communication facilities, traveling facilities and lodging. The villages consist of both rich and poor. The rich belongs to forward community and the poor belongs to backward caste and tribes. The living condition of lower class people in these villages is very miserable and pathetic. Their poverty, illiteracy, ignorance and dependence makes them believe that their physical, social and spiritual development totally depends upon superstition. They believe it is out of their hands to change. So, it is very uphill task to win their souls for Christ. Many villages they do not have traveling facilities. When we started our work, we walked several miles from one village to another village. Many times, we slept on the streets, in bus stations and in railway stations when we missed connected buses to travel back to our homes. The Christians of India are deeply grateful to the western missionaries for their sacrificial life to preach the word of Jesus Christ in India. Yet it was said in the Bible “The harvest truly is plenteous but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). By seeing this, I am fully inspired to reach the unreached areas. So we have taken some methods to reach them:
We preach both in towns and villages, where there are heathen communities. We stayed in the villages and build up good report with the people by fasting prayers.
Pastoral Training & Crusades
![]() Every year, we conduct 7 large gospel crusades and 9 pastor's seminary for six months from Jan to end of the June. In Gospel Outreach Ministries, Jesus chooses pastors and leaders. I currently have 23 pastors under me. For these leaders, the short term training camps have been organized to train them as evangelists, pastors and church leaders. After completion of training we ordain them and send them to villages to conduct prayer meetings, as the Holy Spirit guides us. Role of Pastors:
Each and every Pastors acts as good shepherd. Daily they pay visits to some families, train them and strengthen them in day-to-day prayers. Every Saturday, throughout the night we arrange fasting meetings to develop the spiritual life of the people. They conduct prayers daily and fasting prayers on Saturdays throughout night. These Pastors attend for pastoral conference, which is held once a month at head quarter for three days. We have Bible classes for pastors to learn from Bible and spend many hours in prayer. Situation of the Pastors:So far, we trained up hundreds of national pastors who were formally Hindus and Muslims converted to Christ. They are rich in faith but the poorest we have worked with. There are often hungry and without proper clothing and shelter. This is because they were excommunicated from their communities and sent out from their homes without any mercy. These Pastors are very effective in evangelizing and they are able to start churches in their area.
Our fellow pastors are very poor. They have no support from anywhere. They have to look after their families and go for gospel work. They often spend time with very little to eat. They are in great need of a monthly support. If they have a monthly support they will be able to do the Gospel work effectively. Please remember this also in your kind prayers. Ministering to Widows & the Elderly
For the last 5 years, we are running one aged and widows home with 60 members. Due to lack of facilities, we also have to put them in our church members’ houses. We are praying to build one home large enough to house them all in. Pray with us and consider donating for this effort.
Orphanage Please remember our orphan children in your prayers. We have been looking after them with the help of the little funds we collect from our local Christians, but the money collected is not sufficient to feed the children. So, they have to get up with their half filled bellies. They seem to be gloomy and sick. We are looking forward for a regular sponsorship. My aim is to bring them up in Godliness and teach them to be good Christians.
Wherever we travel, we have been finding thousands of orphans, destitute single parent children who are uncared for, unwanted and totally neglected by the society. Some are from AIDS affected families. They are forced to live on the street and in some unhygienic places. Children between 5 to 14 years of age are often seen picking rags, working in small restaurants as waiters, washing utensils bigger than themselves and begging in all common places such as public parks, bus stations, railway stations, in public market places and so on. Some children often turned to criminals and quite a number of young girls are sexually raped and abused. Some are sold to brothel houses.
Now, the children of our orphan homes are not feeling that they are orphans. They say JESUS is their father and love is their mother. We take special care of each and every child, by observing their attitudes, taste and talents. We develop them spiritually, physically and mentally. Our orphanages provide food, clothing and shelter. We also provide soaps, shampoos, hair oil, books, pencils, bags, and shoes according to their educational standards. These children pray 7 times in a day.
At present, we have 3 orphanages with 100 orphan children. Since 10 years we have been served 2,000 orphan children. When they are highly grown up, we arranged marriages for them. Before that we are able to trained up them as drivers, tailors, mechanics, electricians, microphone operators, carpenters and so on. For girls we trained up them as tailors, special cooks, and nurses and to run some sorts of self-projects to live by themselves with out depending upon others. Please pray for and support the Lord's work through our ministry in India! |
