Rainforest Vacation Bible School!

Every summer, we have Vacation Bible School as a special outreach week for children ages 4-12! It's a fun time of games, activities, Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, worship, prayer and drawing nearer to the Lord.

This year 18 children gave their hearts to the Lord during this outreach.

Our motto was "Following Jesus in the Adventure of our Lives!" and we had a rainforest exploration theme. Each day, we had a different special rainforest guest to help us learn our Bible verse and point for that day.

• Day 1  a strawberry dart frog helped us learn Psalm 119:11 and our point was to "Get it!". 

• Day 2 a jaguar taught us to "Get Found!" using John 3:16.

• Day 3 a capuchin monkey taught us to "Get God's Love!" using Matthew 22:37-39.

• Day 4 a toucan taught us to "Get Praying!" using Philippians 4:6-7.

•  Day 5 a blue morpho butterfly taught us to "Get going!" using Colossians 3:23.

• Special thanks to Brett and Debbie Wade (also known as Explorers Mrs. D. Lightful and Mr. B. Excited) for putting this together, as well as to all the volunteer teachers and helpers for this event!

 

 

Fourth of July Drama Special

Annual Church Baptism, Picnic & Pool Party!

Every year, our church family gets together for a baptism and picnic! It's an incredibly fun time of drawing closer to the Lord and each other. We each bring some food to share, talk together, fellowship, swim, and have a good time.

Most importantly, new and rededicated Christians are baptized as a public way of professing their love and dedication to Jesus Christ!

4 people were baptized this year!  Praise the Lord!

 

 

It's a GUY Thing!

The men had a GREAT time at this year's "It's a GUY Thing!". Hor dourves, man-sized meals, laughter, prizes, fellowship, a special song from Wanda Brisco, a word from the Lord from Rev. Hooker, a hilarious skit by The Worship Center's drama team and buckets (literally!) of desert all make for a wonderful evening!

Special thanks to the ladies for putting this together for the men! It was the perfect event for a guys' night out and to bring a friend to. Be sure to come next year! Check out the pictures and videos from this awesome event!

 

 

Estrogen Festival

Every year, the Women's Ministry has an Estrogen Festival for the ladies. This banquet is a time of laughter, fellowship, fancy food, door prizes, testimonies, delicious desserts and entertainment. Special thanks to the Men's Ministry for providing the entertainment and serving the ladies' dessert! Check out the pictures and the video from this great event!

 

 

English as a Second Language Outreach

We do "English as a Second Language" classes for FREE as an outreach to the internationals in our community. The Lord has brought the mission field to our backyard! We have 10 volunteer teachers that came to certification classes May 14th - 15th! Thank you for being a part of this upcoming outreach!
