Special Honor
Urlike and Sterling received several awards for their hard work and dedication! They were awarded a beautiful plaque by the Charles county Commission for Women, a Certificate of Recognition from County Commissioners, Special Congressional Recognition from Congresman Steny Hoyer, Senatorial Recognition from Senator Barbara A Mikulski, A Governor Citation from Governor Martin O’ Malley and an award from the General Assembly from Delegate Murray Levy.
Dr. Rev. John Hucks and Rev. Gary Briden Visit!
Dr. Rev. John Hucks, President of the Southern Methodist Denomination, and Rev. Gary Briden, Southern Methodist College President, visited us last Sunday evening during the 6:30 pm service! It was a wonderful time of fellowship! Dr. Gary Briden shared a great message and offered us warm greetings. Dr. Rev. John Hucks delivered a powerful word - reminding us that we must all always have the Bible as our foundation in what we do - that no matter what, we must measure our actions and motivations with it as the final say so. Afterwards, we all spent time eating and fellowshipping with one another, edifying each other, and strengthening each other in ministry. What a wonderful time! Click here to see the pictures!

Our
church helped sponsor a to fix a house for an elderly lady in
Bryans, Road, MD through Christmas in April this year. Special
thanks to Jack Conlon, who led the group. It was a wonderful time of
giving, fellowship and...hard work! 
Church Members Katie
Haile and Melissa Davis particpated in this year's March for Babies,
which helps raise money for March of Dimes educational programs and
national scientific research to prevent and defeat problems with
premature births and birth defects.
Ulrike and Sterling Metz are the 11th Annual Award Honorees for
Charles County Commission for Women because of their dedicated and
continuous community involvement. They are the first couple ever
to be inducted!
