DUE TO TEMPORARY CHURCH CLOSURE, WEEKLY FOOD PANTRY WILL BE HELD OUTDOORS. FOOD PANTRY WILL STILL REMAIN AS TUESDAYS BETWEEN 4:00-5:30PM. OUR PANTRY VOLUNTEER WORKERS WILL BE WEARING FACE MASK AND GLOVES WHEN PASSING OUT FOOD TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OTHERS. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU MUST SOCIAL DISTANCE AND REMAIN 6 FEET APART. IF YOU ARE FEELING SICK OR HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS, WE ADVISE YOU TO REMAIN HOME. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY REMAIN SAFE DURING THIS TIME.

Our weekly food pantry is held every Tuesday from 4:15-5:15pm. Food is offered to residents living in the Western Charles County Maryland area. Our pantry is staffed by the Worship Center members and community volunteers. These individuals take time out of their busy lives to collect food from numerous local grocery stores and community businesses, organize and sort it for distribution each week, 7 days a week. Our weekly goal is to do everything in our power to make our community a better place through sharing food and helping our fellow neighbors and solve 3 important and critical problem areas that our community faces on a daily basis which are:

  1. Hunger

  2. Poverty

  3. Food Waste

When we give food to people in need for free, it frees up their money to hopefully be able to afford their rent and utilities, along with other various necessities. The Worship Center Community food pantry rescues perfectly edible and nutritious food and freely and unapologetically gives it to hungry families, elderly and individuals in need.
